Eating

During the summer months WLU offers limited options for meals on campus, Monday to Friday only.

Byte 75 in Lazaridis Hall (across the street from the entrance to Laurier at 64 University Ave. West) will be open for participants.

We suggest that commuters consider bringing a lunch each day, and that families staying on campus plan on making most of their meals in their residence.

Within a few blocks of campus, there are many restaurants, ranging in quality and price from McDonald’s to various bistros, ethnic restaurants, American-style family restaurants, cafés and pubs. Convenience stores are located adjacent to the campus, and major grocery stores are located within a five-minute drive. Drugstores, banks and cash machines are all nearby. If you walk left on University from the Laurier entrance to Phillip St. (there is a Popeye’s supplements store at the corner), you’ll find Chinese, Japanese and Korean restaurants and shops. There is the excellent Ken Sushi House at 256 Phillip St.

WLU is very close to the city’s downtown, and other shopping/dining/entertainment areas.

You will get a listing of places on campus to eat in your registration package.
