The SOSI staff and board of directors are very pleased to announce that after two years of online events, we are planning to return to the live, in-person format for the 2022 edition of the institute and plans are under way to do so safely.

We had a very successful online programme this past August, offering teacher training and classes for young musicians, but we are really looking forward to getting back to the face-to-face experience of making music together as a community. We know that the experience of attending our institute, making friends, and being reminded that we are part of a group of like-minded families is better in real life than it is virtually. (We will continue to offer some online student and teacher development programs for those who are unable to join us in person.)

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
As you can imagine, planning in these times is fraught with many financial uncertainties. In order to ensure financial sustainability in these times, we are asking you to consider making a donation to our institute. If you can contribute $25, $50 or $100, you would help us plan for next year and many years to come. Just use the form below to donate through Canada Helps.

On behalf of the board of directors of SOSI and the staff, thank you for your help,

David Burgess
