Prerequisites: Completion of
Every Child Can! and Unit 1 (or Unit 1A and 1B) as a Participant; Current SAA active membership.
Required Course Preparation:All participants will be performing Suzuki repertoire and other materials in class. Please have your instrument available during the classes. It is recommended that participants take notes during all sessions. Recording the Zoom classes will be at the discretion of the trainer. 100% attendance is required for registering the course. If your instructor has prepared additional materials for the course, they will be made available online or emailed to you.
Hours: 25 hours of online class time plus 8 hours of online observation.
Classes on Sunday are 9 am–12 pm, then 1–3 pm; Monday–Friday classes/observations are between 8:30 am and 4 pm.
Teaching Strategies has 10 hours of class time.
Registration: For in-person Unit 2, Monday Aug. 8 at 8 am, Rm. 208, Bricker Academic Bldg.
For Teaching Strategies online with Karen Kimmett, you will be sent a link and the course will begin Monday morning, Aug. 8.
Cost: $495 CDN for Unit 2 and $330 CDN for Teaching Strategies
