Waterloo Park
Known as the jewel of the city, Waterloo Park has a lake, animal farm, picnic areas, splash pad, sport fields, playgrounds and more.
Waterloo Park’s splash pad is located off Father David Bauer Drive, next to the skate park. Free parking is available on the street or in lots surrounding the park. Admission is free. Open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Accessible onsite change rooms, picnic and shaded areas are nearby. While the splash pad is not available for rent, the nearby picnic areas are able to provide privacy and shade for your event.

Should you need to make other arrangements to pick up accommodation keys, please email LaurierConferences@wlu.ca

All residents should return their keys to the drop-off box located in the lobby of each Residence when they check out. There is no official check-out time on Friday or Saturday; you may empty your room after the final concerts if you prefer.

Internet Access
All participants will receive a wi-fi access code at residence check-in or registration.

Parking

Commuters
There is a charge of $12.00 per day for parking for guests not staying in residence. Parking is available in Pay and Display lots 4 and 20. The payment machine accepts quarters, one- and two-dollar coins, and credit cards. Parking permits must be purchased prior to leaving the vehicle to attend classes. In and out privileges are available for the day the permit is purchased. If Pay & Display lots are full, commuters can purchase a parking permit at the Hotel Laurier office in the King Street Residence and can park in lot 34 under the building.

New contactless Honk Tap Smart Stations: You may now pay for parking at the pay-and-display machines located on campus via Honk Mobile by scanning the QR code on the sign with your mobile device.

Residential
Unloading and Parking
Bricker Residence (44 Bricker Avenue) and King Street Residence (200 King Street N.) – parking is temporarily available on the street or in front of the building for unloading.

Due to campus construction, overnight parking is only available in lots: 9 (Stadium), 31 (Waterloo College Hall and Laurier Place), 34 (under King Street Residence) and 37 (Northdale).

Parking permits are required at all times and will be provided at check-in. License plate numbers must be included on the permit.

Important Notes

Parking is not permitted in gold permit or reserved spots. Failure to park in designated lots will result in a ticket and/or tow. Conference Services is not responsible for parking tickets.
Parking on city streets is limited to 3 hours and this bylaw is strictly enforced.
There is no parking at St. Michael’s Church.
Complimentary parking is available on weekends (with the exception of parking meters and reserved spaces). Vehicles parking overnight must have a permit.

Eating

Veritas Café
open Monday-Thursday from 8:30-5 pm
Located just off the QUAD. The regular menu is available, but sometimes there can be a line.

Byte 75
open Monday-Friday from 8 am-2 pm
Located on the main floor of Lazaridis Hall. Offering a premium selection of flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, soup and baked goods. BYTE 75 features Fair Trade coffee and offers premium hot and cold beverages and desserts.

There are many places to eat within walking distance of the campus, especially toward King St. CHECK WHAT IS NEARBY
